Overview: 

In this lecture, we will (1) Define major categorical definitions into which global institutions fall: bilateral agency, multilateral agency, NGO, private foundations, governmental agencies. (2) Be able to discuss the changes in funding and the global health activity landscape among the major global health actors and initiatives over the last 20 years. (3) Understand the way in which major institutions work together and independently, and how specific global health roles are assigned or assumed.
